CELLARMAN

 

Do you love beer? We're looking for a passionate and dedicated Cellarman to join the team at Bear King Brewery. As a Cellarman, you'll play a key role in the production of high-quality beer by assisting with fermentation, packaging, cleaning, and maintenance duties. You'll work alongside a talented and supportive team to ensure all beer leaving the facility is of the highest quality and that the brewery is clean, functional, and up to Bear King's standards at all times. Our Cellarman...

  • Operates and maintains fermentation, cellaring, filtration, and sanitation systems to ensure that our beer meets established quality parameters.

  • Performs laboratory analysis, including yeast cell counts and boiler water specs, to maintain the microbial integrity of our products.

  • Keeps detailed records of all brewery operations and inputs data into Ekos Brewmaster Software to ensure accuracy and accountability.

  • Contributes to process improvements that enhance efficiency and quality assurance.

  • Assists with inventory management, including raw material and process material inventories, to ensure that we always have the ingredients we need to create amazing beer.

  • Operates our state-of-the-art American Canning counter-pressure can filler and seamer to package finished product for distribution to our retail locations and distributors.

  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by following all MSDS and OSHA guidelines and using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when operating equipment or working on the cellar floor.

  • Works collaboratively with other team members to ensure that all responsibilities are completed on time and to the highest standards.

  • Completes other responsibilities as assigned.


Requirements to apply

  • This is a full-time position – Monday-Friday, with occasional overtime

  • 2-year technical college degree preferred. Formal brewing education strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated mechanical proficiency.

  • Hands on Experience with MS Office or Google Suite is a plus. You will be working with Ekos on a daily basis.

  • The ability to follow and understand SOP's, multitask, and pay close attention to detail.

  • Able to lift 55 lbs and move 165 lbs occasionally.

  • Able to stand for 8-10 hours per day.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Able to operate a forklift.
